Meet the Director
Jennifer’s varied background and passion for girls’ and women’s advocacy make her a fierce Go Girl! She directs and manages all things-entertainment at a local Charter school; lends her social/emotional skill building to Girl Scout troops; stage manages a ballet conservatory’s annual show; and writes and teaches empowerment workshops for teen girls. She is also a certified Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International instructor – teaching social, emotional and physical self-defense and bullying prevention skills to children, teens, adults, and developmentally disabled populations all over the Bay Area.
Her background includes a BA from Hutchins School of Liberal Arts with an emphasis in social justice. She worked as a production coordinator and line producer of large-scale live events and business theater which involved tasks like wrangling celebrity talent, managing hundreds of college students hired to install seating risers, stage managing shows, costume procurement, and details like finding the right fan to keep the President cool at a podium (as in President of the United States!)
This extensive event production experience, combined with years of community theater acting, directing and producing, studying dance, Pilates (she is a certified instructor) and voice – along with a passion for making girls’ lives safer, more amazing and full of boundless inspiration – makes for a very excited Go Girls! leader. She is especially thrilled to bring Go Girls! Camp to the North Bay for the first time this summer!
